"He has a bomb!"
When I was fifteen , I started getting into heavy rock music and drugs. I liked to wear dark clothes. I turned 16 and I was into stealing and lying along with everything else. One day not to long after the Columbine School shootings, I was walking to school. I was suspended at the time, but I needed to get some papers from school. It was raining out and I had a trench coat on. Some lady seen me in my coat and big hat . She went and told the principle that I had a gun and a bomb. After the school shootings, all schools were on alert, and I guess I looked suspicious.
They put me into A.E.P. (Alternative Education Program), basically a school for kids that caused trouble. I was suppose to be there the rest of year--or until the court date. If they found me guilty, I would go to jail for I don't know how long. I was worried they would find me guilty for no apparent reason, even though I didn't have a gun or anything else. You hear about people going to jail all the time even though their innocent. I hadn't been a model student, so I knew they would find something to convict me for.
It's Wednesday, and I've been in A.E.P. for 2 days now . After school, mom and dad took me to church. I was listening to the preacher and I started feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. I knew it was the Spirit of the Lord . I knew it was God. I went down to the alter and prayed. I asked Jesus into my heart and gave my life to God! I knew Jesus was in my heart now. That night before I went to bed, I prayed about my situation at school, and asked God to help me. I went to school the next day and the principle and a cop came to talk to me. They told me all the charges were dropped. I give ALL the credit to God. The next time you have a bad situation in your life, turn to God. He can change your life around. He can take a bad situation and turn it into good, for those that love Him. Better yet, don't wait till you need him, turn now. He's waiting for you. Paul W.
